It shouldn’t come as a shock to anyone that I am a big fan of baseball. It wasn’t until recently that the Rookie also started to enjoy the game as well. Not just playing it but watching it as well.
The yearly trips that my family took to Denver to watch the Colorado play are a distant memory. Now, though, I can share the same experience with my son as we make our way to Kauffman Stadium. It might not be the same as going to see a game at Coors Field, but to me, it doesn’t matter. What is important is that I am sharing in the experience of the game with him.
To make that experience even better, many times, we share it with the Rookie’s grandpa, my dad. The father who brought me to the game that he loved.
