Easter is a special time for my family. It is a time early in the spring season that we can pause and spend time together before things become busy to the point that it feels like we just cross paths between our kid’s events. I make a mission every year to make Easter dinner both fun and memorable for everyone in our family.

Easter is about the budding of a new season, is about the laughs, and more importantly, the smiles that cross our faces as we sit down for dinner as a family.

The build-up to Easter Dinner is as stressful as the mere thought of how busy our schedule will be over the upcoming months. Between sports and end-of-school year events, it can feel like my head is about to explode as I plan a meal for all of us to sit down for. Finding the side dishes that all four of us will agree on and making sure that the Easter cookies will last until dinner is more difficult than actually cooking the meal itself. True story, my kids found the cookies and had eaten all of them 2 days prior to our Easter dinner.

Let’s not forget about making sure that one has everything they need for the Easter Egg hunt. Between the baskets, the eggs (real or plastic), and all of the stuffings to go in the eggs… and don’t forget the Peeps!

Luckily for us, we have a Hy-Vee right down the street from us. And from the moment you walk in and see all of the helpful smiles, you know that you are in the right place to find all of your Easter meal needs. Whether it is a pre-cooked ham that is an Easter staple, or Brussel sprouts, or potatoes Hy-Vee has all that you need. They are even there for you to make an extra trip to get the cookies that your kids ate.

Hy Vee makes it even easier to plan your Easter meals too. You can order your entire meal online, even a premade Easter Meal (not available for curbside pickup) with all of the staples (Ham, Mashed Potatoes, Green Bean Casserole, and rolls), so that all you have to do is pull up and let those helpful smiles load your car.

As my family gathers together this Easter, for us, it is all about togetherness as we celebrate the season.

From my family and the helpful smiles at Hy-Vee, Happy Easter!
